Located among 5,000 acres of fully fenced live oak pastures and beautiful rolling hills of the famed Y.O. Ranch, the Y.O. Schreiner Hunting Operation is in the heart of some of the best trophy country in Texas.

We welcome all bow, rifle, and handgun hunters, as the property is outfitted with tower blinds, ground blinds, tree stands, safari style and spot-stalk hunting opportunities.

Our mission is to sustain the legacy of our family ranch through conservation and management, while providing an unforgettable hunting experience.

Heart of the Hill Country

The Y.O. Schreiner Ranch is located on Edwards Plateau in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, where exotic animals were introduced to the native land and game as early as the 1950s.

You'll find numerous water wells and a vast expanse of varied Hill Country terrain on the ranch, including open grass fields, live oak trees, shin oak, and juniper. The ranch's rocky terrain and exotic wildlife bring with it an uncanny resemblance of a beautiful African landscape to Texas.

Heritage & History

In 1880, "Captain" Charles Schreiner purchased the Y.O. Ranch, its brand, and its cattle from Taylor and Clements with profits he made by driving more than 300,000 head of Texas longhorns “up the trail” to Dodge City. Parts of the Y.O. Ranch have remained in his family for six generations.

They truly know their game and way around the land. I would recommend this historic ranch to anyone wanting to experience a hunt in the Texas Hill Country.

I've hunted all over North America and have never seen as many trophy animals as those living in Texas at this ranch. From the time I met Luke and Bobby until the end of the hunt, I enjoyed everything. Meals were exceptional, especially the oryx burgers. I have begun to plan my next trip because of the variety of game around the ranch.
